My journey into this work is deeply personal.

As a parent of an autistic child, I have experienced firsthand both the joys and the challenges of navigating learning, development, and school environments that are not always designed with neurodivergent children in mind.

When my son’s early school setting was not able to fully accommodate his needs, I chose to homeschool him during his Pre-K years. That time became an incredibly meaningful part of our journey. It allowed him to learn in a calmer, more supportive environment and helped prepare him for a successful transition into kindergarten.

Through this experience, I gained a deeper understanding of how children learn when they feel safe, supported, and sensory needs are considered—not overlooked.

This work is also supported by my ongoing professional path as I pursue my teacher certification in Special Education (EC–12), with a focus on supporting diverse learners in meaningful, individualized ways.

At Wonderfully Made Learning, I take a whole-child, neurodiversity-affirming approach to learning and development.

This means supporting not only academic growth, but also executive functioning, emotional regulation, social development, and life skills—all within a sensory-aware and supportive environment.

Sensory needs are an essential part of how children experience the world. Because of this, I intentionally create a learning environment that is calm, flexible, and responsive to each child’s sensory and emotional needs.
